Making the transition from online to real life...

Updated: Mar 29, 2021

I am so grateful to now be back in the studio rehearsing for our event. The transition from online to real life has been a bit tricky as we have to adapt ourselves back to the studio environment.

Online, I was rehearsing in a much smaller space and on carpet so coming back to the studio with the complete opposite has been a change! However, I have tried to embrace this, and I feel that we all can now expand and express ourselves in a much larger way than before.

In addition, coming back to the studio for our first rehearsal was all about making sure everyone was on the same page. Learning over Zoom can be a struggle with directions, and we have had some funny moments in the process trying to mirror and flip the movement we are being taught!

You would think this would slow down our rehearsal process but our first rehearsal in the studio. surprisingly, went really well! We got to a point where we were more confident with our facings and the movement phrases.

Being back in the studio with other performers has definitely benefitted my engagement as you can sense each other's energy and it is easier to bounce off one another when we are all together in the same space.
